Oh My G-g-goodness!

I can't believe the last time I blogged was back in June!!!  How bad is that!

Hello everyone,  long time no see....as they say.....and thanks for stopping by today,

I really have no excuse for not blogging as I have made quite a few things over the past 3 months inspite of the heat driving me out of my craftroom for several weeks and I'm annoyed with myself because my blog is primarily my own record of how I created things so I must try and update it with my recent makes.  I do share all my stuff on Facebook and Instagram but that doesn't record the how too and a lovely lady left a comment on one such FB share today asking how I made a trio of tags so I'm starting with those.

This set of tags were originally a gift from a friend several years ago and were plain tags dyed with tea.  I decided I'd hoarded them long enough and as I wanted to experiment with mixing mica powders into Prima 3D gel, I dug them out.  I chose 3 shades of mica powder and mixed them into small blobs of the gel and then applied them through stencils onto the tags.  I used all three colours on each tag overlapping them slightly to get a blend of the colours.  As the gel starts to cure fairly quickly it was getting a tad sticky by the time I got to the last tag (the middle one in the pic above) but I quite liked the less than perfect effect I ended up with, lol!  I also found it bled a little under the stencils.

This first tag is just made up from die cut bits left over from previous projects except for the piece of Scrapiniec chipboard on the top which was a recent purchase from Artful Days...well worth a visit online 😉  I heat embossed this piece with one of Seth Apters Baked Texture powders.

The butterfly was painted with Twinkling H2O ....not had those out in years either!

On the second tag I used a stencil from Artful Days for both the eye and the numbers (a very significant year for me, lol).

I used Archival ink then gave the eye a pupil and a bit of light reflection and I also stamped some script using Archival.  Finally I added some Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers and edged the tag with black.

For the final tag first I stamped some script onto the background then I took a little paper doily, blended Sepia ink onto it and then stamped a damask design in black before attaching it to the tag.  I dug out some long forgotten German scrap and added strips top and bottom.

Another ancient piece of stash was the Kraft chipboard die cut border at the bottom.   I inked it with red Archival then stamped the script and inked the edges then stuck it to the tag with 3D gel.

I attached the metal embellishment then decided to lift the texture on it and the doily with some Treasure Gold highlights.  Some ribbon and a gorgeous paperclip finished it off.

Isn't it funny how very often the things you don't set out to create in the first instance often turn into the things you get the most pleasure from.......or is that just me, lol!

I'll try to catch up with some more of my makes over the next week or so and hope you can drop by again.

The Best of Friends.

Morning All!

It's another glorious day here and I am so grateful for the very strong breeze keeping the temperature manageable.......for now!  My craftroom is out of bounds though because we have a chappie demolishing our pergola (the wood has rotted) right outside so I can't open the doors and it's unbearably hot in there.  So, I thought I'd catch up with recording a recent make on here which I shared on social media a couple of weeks ago.

I created a card using two more of Darcy's new fun characters for PaperArtsy.  This time Cedric and Lola are two BFFs going for a walk amongst the flowers.

Once again I have been good and used up a previously made Distress Oxide background.  I stamped Cedric and Lola first using black Archival then stamped the other images around them using Distress Oxides.  I just love that I can get a beautifully stamped image with the oxides.

I used Polychromos pencils to colour Cedric and Lola and the flower centres and was delighted when I realised lots of the words from Darcy's two new sets fit perfectly into the centres.  I added a bit of white doodling and two more words from the new sets before edging the card with more Oxide ink and matting it onto the card base.

It was lots of fun to create this and I do love to be able to use my pencils on these quirky images.

Thanks for dropping by.

Practice makes perfect!

Hi Everyone!

One of the gorgeous AALL & Create stamps I purchased recently was this beautiful butterfly collage image by Olga Heldwein.  I've only used it once before and not as a complete image but just to cut out a couple of the butterflies to add as embellishments.   I had the stamp out on my desk last week and wanted to try stamping the whole image.  I tried a couple of times with a block with poor results so decided to use my Be Creative stamp press so that I could reapply ink and restamp several times if necessary.  I found it best to prime the stamp, first with Versamark then clean with a wet wipe followed by Archival which I let sit for a while.  I think I wiped mine off with a rag but you can just leave it to dry.  I finally used Versafine to actually stamp the image and I only had to repeat stamp once to get a pretty good image.  What I didn't realise at the time was that the card I had picked up has a slightly shimmery, pearlescent surface so I think had it been proper stamping card it might have stamped well the first inking, lol.  Never mind, all's well that ends well!

The stamped image sat on my desk for a few days until I caught sight of Jenny Marples' beautiful DT card using the same stamp on the AALL & Create FB group which lit the inspiration fuse and today's card is the result.

After stamping the main image I stamped and cut out a mask for the large butterfly then I put some Amsterdam Acrylic Inks onto my craftmat and spritzed with water to thin them a little before picking the colour up on a brayer and very randomly brayering over the whole surface.  I deliberately missed areas here and there.  I blended a little black Archival around the edges

I stamped the big butterfly again onto a piece of card and fussy cut it then adhered it to the main piece just by the body leaving the wings free for dimension.  I trapped some thread beneath the butterfly at the same time.  The finishing touches were some beads of Ranger black enamel accents and the little quote from one of Tracy Evans sets for AALL&C

Once I sussed out the stamping of the main image this was quite a simple card to create and yet I think it's very effective.

Have a lovely sunny day everyone and see you soon.

I'm a little bit dotty about Poppie!

Hi everyone,

Last Sunday saw me at Doncaster Dome for the Stampmagic Craft Show, my favourite not least because it's just up the road, lol.  A few nice goodies might have found their way home with me 😉 and hopefully you will gradually see more of them over the coming weeks but tonight I have a cute little tag to share using a fun character designed by the lovely Darcy for PaperArtsy.

Darcy was demoing for Stampers Grove and  they had special permission to sell Darcy's new stamps a week before their official release but we were sworn to secrecy, lol.  Well, tonight the stamps were released over on the PaperArtsy blog so I'm free to share this little creation.  I bought Darcy's two new sets EDY22 and EDY23.  Poppie is on EDY23 together with the heart circles.  The arrow and words come from EDY 22.  Both these sets have loads of individual words from which it is easy to create your own phrases.....soooo useful and I love that simple, easy to read font to.

The tag was already lying around on my desk from a previous play session and if I remember rightly I used Distress Oxides picked up from my craft mat and through a stencil.  I stamped Poppie using a nifty little trick Lauren apparently demoed at Ally Pally in April (unfortunately I didn't get to see it irl).  I used my stamping platform to stamp the original image, made sure I kept the stamp and the tag in place while I painted the image with Fresco Finish Acrylics and when it was dry I restamped.  Brilliant!  Absolutely no problem now painting images with acrylics, especially the opaque ones.  All the lovely details are back nice and sharp!

I stamped the rest of the images and painted them.  I didn't bother with the stamping platform again as I was using transluscents this time.  I stamped the words I wanted onto separate card cut them out and positioned them on the tag then backed it with co-ordinating card.  Finally I used Glossy Accents on her bow and heart and added some fibre.

There are several more fun characters on the new sets as well as other fun and useful imagery.  There's a fab cat with attitude on EDY22 so do pop over to the PaperArtsy Blog and see the rest of Darcy's stamp sets which are now available at all PaperArtsy stockists.

New Stamps in my stash from Lynne Moncrieff.

Morning All,

It's a bit grey here today and cool but it's dry and breezy so I think it will dry my washing and I do like the cool 😄, it makes my craftroom more accessible for a start, lol!  Anyway, after watching a That's Crafty show on a craft TV channel (I record so I can fast forward through all the spiel, lol, and then order from source where ever possible) I couldn't wait to order some gorgeous stamp sets by the very talented Lynne Moncrieff (her blog is simply beautiful).  I got 3 of her Affirmations sets and this card was my first make using Set 9.

I already had the background piece lying on my desk as I had attempted to create a piece for the PaperArtsy Challenge of neutrals but I didn't get it done in time.  It's a piece of acrylic paper on which I blended Fresco Finish paints in Nougat, Vintage Lace (discontinued Boo! Hoo!) and Blush, and on top I did some random stamping in a mix of Mushroom and London Night FF, using a fab script stamp from a Scrapcosy set for PaperArtsy.  There's also a bit of a take on a Seth Apter technique of painting a piece of card (in this case a piece of the slightly textured acrylic paper) and pressing it to my main piece using the Mushroom.  It creates a lovely bit of texture.

Next I stencilled some leaves using Sage FF then bumped the stencil slightly and went over with Nougat.  The final part of my background was to stencil some Prima (Finnabair) clear texture paste and when this was dry I touched it with a watery mix of Mushroom and London Night FF.  I really liked the way the texture paste grabbed it and it soaked into the tiny cracks but didn't spread beyond the stencilling. .....very happy accident, lol!

I stamped the lovely sunflower onto separate card, coloured it with Polychromos pencils and then fussy cut it.  I even got my craft knife out and cut the teeny bits out.... something I usually avoid!  I tinted a piece of binding and a scrap of gauzy stuff with FF, stripped a piece of corrugated card and added a bit of paint and then found a piece of lace to cut up (from an old bra I was throwing out 😁).  I layered everything up and finally stamped the lovely phrases from Lynne's set to cut out and add as the finishing touch.

These are lovely quality clear stamps and they stamp beautifully.  I can't wait to use the other two sets I bought and all those wonderful phrases will be so useful on all sorts of projects.

Now I have to figure out why I've lost the ability to pin my makes to Pinterest from my blog....is it something to do with the shenanigans on 25th May or the mega cleanup our lovely 'puter expert did last week???

See you again soon.

Yay, final catch up!

Good morning again!

My final catch up post is some tags I made just for fun whilst trying out some fab new stamps from Aall & Create.

This first one was a tag I created the background on several years ago so as usual I'm not sure what with.  It looks like Oxides but can't be because I made it before Oxides came out so possibly Distress Inks smooshed and spritzed on my craft mat.  I have added a bit of splattering with white Glimmer Mist spray and Crafty Notions white chalk spray.

I inked up a particular section of an A4 size stamp by Tracy Evans for Aall & Create and pressed the tag down onto it.  You rarely get a perfect stamped image that way but that was ok for me as I wanted a more distressed look.  I die cut a circle from black card and heat embossed with some 'new to me' Wow semi matt ep and stuck it over one of the stamped circles. I highlighted the word ART with white pen and added some stencilling with the same pen using one of AA&C stencil.  The butterflies are from another AA&C stamp which I stamped onto some red card and cut out.  I added some shimmer with a marker and a Sakura gel pen. and stuck them to the tag just by the bodies.  Metal embellishments and sari ribbon were then added to finish it off.

This tag uses yet more sets of AA&C stamp sets together with stuff I had just hanging around on my desk at the time.   Strips of paper stuck randomly to the tag, Fresco Finish acrylic paints picked up from my craft mat and a Tando chipboard compass and cog which got painted, stamped and then heat embossed with clear ep.  I just love those little word stamps!

The final tag began life when my friend Emma came for a crafting playdate and brought the lovely cow parsley border stamp to try out.  I stamped it onto a scrap of Brusho background and then got stuck, lol!  Sometime later when Tim Holtz brought out his Distress Resist Spray it brought to mind the Tsukineko Goosebumps spray I had bought years before and never used so I dug it out, fully expecting it to be useless by now but after a bit of coaxing it worked and I sprayed onto a tag.  I then blended some inks over the top (Oxides I think) and realised the pretty border piece co-ordinated beautifully so I added some stamping from another of Tracy Evans sets (love that little heart border), some lace scraps left from another project and, a first for me, decided to get the sewing machine out to add some random 'messy' stitching.  My goodness how difficult I find it to sew messy on purpose!  Anyway, then end result really pleased me, lol!

Phew,  that concludes my catch up posts.  I'm sure there has been other stuff  I've missed sharing but never mind.   Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back with something new.  Until then have fun and take care everyone.

Getting there!

Here we are again, lol!

It's my third catch up this week, one more after this and I'm up to date as far as I can remember.

Today's shares are cards I created mainly for the fun of trying out new stamps but they will eventually be sent with love from me to people I care about.

I created this first one some months ago using a then newly released Jofy for PaperArtsy stamp set so as usual not entirely sure on the background but I think I scribbled Fibralo markers onto my craftmat, spritzed with water then splattered with a brush over my card.  I probably used co-ordinating Distress Inks to lightly blend round the edges.  I stamped with Watering Can Archival Ink and coloured with pencils (either Derwent Coloursoft or Polychromos).

The flowers were stamped onto separate card and I have no idea what that was coloured with, lol!  I added colour to the details with pencils, cut them out and shaped them before attaching to the card.  The sentiments are 7 Dots Studio word strip stickers and a bit of white pen finished it off.

This second card has been created using some of my newest Lavinia stamps.  The background is Oxide Inks but leaving lots of white.   I added some stencilling with Archival Ink before stamping the fairy and her little friend and the hillocks were created with torn paper and Archival ink which I also used to blend around the edges.

I used various Archival Ink colours to stamp all the foliage and finally painted Stickles to the centres of the pods and the fairy wings.  Lavinia stamps always make me smile and I was delighted with this card.  Not sure I can bear to part with it, lol!

Right, one more day to go then I'm caught up.

I'm back yet again!

Good Morning once again.

We have finally been having some nice weather here in the UK, for the majority that is.  As for me well.......let's just say a tad cooler would be my preference, lol!

It's cards again today but these were made for my card stash and also to have a go at using some large background stamps that I always struggle to know what to do with.  I really enjoyed making these as I got to use some more of my experimental background stash.  It's such a good feeling to actually get some of them used, lol!

This marble stamp was wood mounted and has been in my collection for many years totally neglected and unloved.  It has now been removed from the wood and can be used with my Be Creative stamp press  which makes it so much easier to get a good impression with.  The background is Oxide Ink onto glossy card which I polished once it was dry.  It gives a lovely finish!  I stamped with Black Archival (I think) and used a scrap of the background to create the sentiment strip mounted onto black card and with some thread to embellish a little.

The second card uses another old wood backed stamp which is now without the wood, lol!  Again it's an Oxide Ink background but on matte coated card this time.  Such a pretty pastel background and perfect for this negative image.  I can't say who's the stamp manufacturer as there was no name on the block.  The quote is from one of Alison Bomber's fab word sets for PaperArtsy.

This card was again stamped onto an Oxide background but on ordinary none textured card.  I stamped with Versafine Black Ink and clear embossed.  Really love how this turned out.  The stamp is by Imagination Crafts

Another card using the same Imagination Crafts negative stamp but this time I think the background was Oxides with a small amount of PaperArtsy Infusions added on top.  I can't be 100% sure as I made it ages ago and it was sent to a friend.  However, this time I stamped in Versamark and embossing with Wow Bright White embossing powder.  Another fab result!

Okay,  now I'm getting somewhere with the backlog, lol!  Same time, same place tomorrow!

And another catchup post!

Morning again everyone,

I'm on a roll with my catch ups now as next week is going to be a bit busier, Bank Holiday and school half term with hopefully a visit from Daughter and her three kiddos,f so here's my second share.

Two more birthday cards and the first one for my eldest brother.  I forgot to take proper photos of this card before I sent it off so have to make do with this pic from my phone.

As this was created back at the end of January I am guessing at how I did it, lol!  I know it was on linen effect card and I think I blended Oxide Inks to create the background then stamped the image (can't remember whose and I have too many wildflower stamps to search through, lol) with Versamark and embossed with Wow Brilliant White embossing powder.  The sentiments are definitely from my much used Chocolate Baroque collection.

This second card was for a crafting friend and the background is water spritzed Oxide Inks picked up from my craftmat.  I then stamped with Archival Inks using a variety of stamps but mostly Artemio.  I used Polychromos pencils to add colour to the main images and added white pen dots to the cow parsley.  I think the butterfly was a Tim Holtz one again coloured with Polychromos.

As usual I only attached the body of the butterfly as I like their wings to have a little movement.  I also liked the contrast of the bright blues against the background.  I used some of my huge stash of designer papers as a co-ordinating matt.  I think this is the way I have to go to get some of it used ....it would be a shame for it to go in recycling just for the sake of it.

Okey Doke, time to get on with chores 😞....real life is so boring sometimes, lol!  I'll be back again tomorrow, till then

I am such a baaad blogger!

Hello lovely people,

Despite all my good intentions at the beginning of the year, I have been a dreadful blogger for the past few months.  It's not that I haven't made a few things I've just not got round to sharing them in Blogland although I have shared them on Facebook and Instagram.  I do like to have them on here as a record for myself though so I'm going to try and catch up a little over the next few posts.

Today I have a few fairly recent birthday cards to share.

This first card was for my Hubby's recent 70th birthday.  I used stamps by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy.  I really love this nautical set and this is a different take on the stamps to the card in my last post.

The strips were cut from an old background piece I made and I have no idea what inks I used, lol!  The stamping and blending around the edges is Distress Oxides and I did a little splattering of water to remove some of the ink on the blending.  The compass was a chipboard piece I found in my stash and I covered it with two shades of Seth Apter's Baked Texture embossing powders.

This second card was for one of my brothers.  Again I cut strips of cards from a really old background I created.  I think this might have been done with the old Moonglow Inks I bought from The Stampman when I first started crafting .

The 'starry' looking lazer cut piece is by Scrapiniec and I dabbed it with two different coloured inks then Versamark and heat embossed with clear ep.

My final card for today was for my Son-in-Law.  I stamped the vintage car which is from a favourite Chocolate Baroque  set called Eccentric Edwardian (I think).  It's one of the first sets I ever bought from them back in the days when they went under the Elusive Images banner and I find it a mega useful set for mens cards.  Anyway, I stamped and clear embossed the car and stamped again onto masking paper.   I masked the car then added the stencilling using oxide Ink.

I also used the Oxide Ink to add a little colour to the car as well as a bit of shadowing near the wheels.  A few strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape and stamped sentiments and that was it.

So that's it for today and hopefully I can catch up with another multiple post in a day or two.

Thanks for dropping by.

Speedy card and even speedier post ....PaperArtsy Blog Challenge entry.

Hi everyone,

It's been a while, lol!  Mostly because for some weeks Mr Blogger was not playing nice and would not let me post anything and I couldn't be bothered to try and sort it out.  Finally it has come right all by itself but it's a good job I have given up DT work or I would have been in a right old panic, lol!

Anyway, having been very lax with entries to the PaperArtsy Blog Challenge, Darcy brought it to our attention on FB today that it was final day for entries to the current challenge of  'Kraft' so at the nth hour I decided to have a bash at making a card and here it is.

All the stamped images are from the stunning nautical set by Scrapcosy for PaperArtsy and
I kept to shades of brown using Oxide Ink for the bottom image as I wanted a misty kind of look to it and then Potting Soil Archival for the beautiful sailing ship which I clear embossed to make it stand out.

In the background I stamped the gorgeous script using Versamagic Cloud White.  I inked the edges and then added the Tim Holtz tape.  I stamped the quote from one of Alison Bomber's sets onto the reverse side of a scrap of Kraft card to give a slightly different shade and cut it up to add to the card.  I layered it to my base card on some fine corrugated card I had in my stash and that's it.

Yikes, 5 minutes to link up.....see Ya!

It's VIP birthday time!

Morning everyone,

It's a bit windy out again today and although the sun keeps trying to make an appearance the clouds are winning for the moment.  At least the temperature has risen to double figures for a day or two but typically set to drop again for the Easter hols 😒.

Anyway,  today I'm sharing a card I actually created over a month ago, ready in plenty of time for our Son's 40th birthday which was on Wednesday.  I'm beginning to think our Royal Mail has a big cheek putting postage charges up next week as just recently I and a few others have not received the service we paid for.  I think it's time they did away with 'first class' as they are taking several days to deliver even when this is paid for and I was really disappointed this card did not reach it's destination till after the birthday date.  Oh well, moan over for now, lol.  I was very chuffed with the card itself and I think Jamie liked it.

I started by sticking torn bookpages to various areas of an 18cm square piece of card, then roughly brayered Fresco Finish acrylic paints in different shades of grey.  I followed this with some stencilling of the brickwork and stamped some wording using Shadow Grey Archival Ink.

I stamped the fab Bee Crafty Banksy style image using Black Archival before finally adding some Smalltalk Stickers and a phrase stamped separately and cut out.

As Jamie is an artist/tutor himself and has done a lot of graffiti style artwork I thought this card was particularly apt.  We are looking forward to a meal with close family and friends on Sunday and are hoping the weather behaves this time as it had to be cancelled due to the snow storms last weekend.

I might be back again tomorrow but if not have a good weekend everyone.

Ooer! It's Pink Again!

.....I must be feeling a bit poorly, lol!

Good Morning everyone,

I am hoping you have started the day with better weather than we have here.  It's been absolutely tipping it down but stopped for now.  More expected late afternoon but I intend crafting so that's ok, lol!

I seem to be having an accidental run on pink at the moment which I'm sure everyone knows is not my favourite colour.....and that is an understatement!  However, when the latest Distress Oxide Ink releases arrived I had to put the colours through their paces and I did like this dusky background I got so it had to be used.  Now the card has been received I can share it.

I thought the background was perfect for using Raquel Burillo's (aka Scrapcosy) stamp set ESC04 for PaperArtsy.  I used Aged Mahogany Oxide to do the stamping with the script stamp in the background and the roses stamped and heat embossed.  I then added some subtle highlighting with white pencil to the roses and green to the leaves.  I did a little stencilling with white Versamagic through Kim Dellow's stencil for PaperArtsy.

I found the pretty chipboard frame and lightly stamped it with the script stamp and stuck it to the card and stamped the butterfly onto a background scrap to add to the centre of the frame.  A small sentiment and a few pretty pearls and the card was finished.

I must admit this kind of pink I do like, lol, and I loved it teamed with Raquel's stamps.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and see you again soon.

OMGosh! It's Pink!!!

Hello everyone,

Well the past couple of  weeks have been mostly pretty miserable as I picked up one of the nasty viruses going around at the moment.  The main symptom has been an horrendous cough which made me rather noisy and unpleasant to be around.  My stomach and rib muscles feel as though I've been kicked by a mule but they should have had a good workout, lol!  I'm coming out the other side now though and at least I was poorly whilst the weather here has been unfit to go out in.  We were quite badly affected by the snow and ice and being a bit old and decrepit, I wouldn't have been venturing far had I been fit 😉.

Before the bad weather blew in though I managed to collect my 10 yr old granddaughter Izzy for a long promised weekend of crafting, just the two of us (no little brothers demanding our attention, lol) and just as The Cough kicked in big time.  Izzy was very patient with my constant coughing fits and I'm so glad she doesn't appear to have caught the bug.  I introduced  her to stencilling various texture pastes onto large MDF hearts.  It was lovely to see her delight when the crackle paste crackled before her eyes, lol!  We made loads of backgrounds with my favourite Oxide Inks and the highlight was making some pendants with Ice Resin, a product I have had in my stash literally for years but have never plucked up courage to use.  Izzy went home with a bag full of her creations and a proud smile on her face.  Sorry the pics aren't brilliant but they were taken quickly on my phone.

 No automatic alt text available.

Just about the only thing I have done this week is a project for the prompt challenge with my friends.  The latest  prompt was to use tissue and I decorated a  canvas board to come up with this.......

......and that's where the pink comes in, purely by accident as it's definitely not my favourite colour, lol!

I started by covering an 8" x 8" canvas board with white gesso and then lightly blended some Portfolios to dull down the white.  I took a piece of Tim Holtz tissue and applied alcohol inks over the back blending them together with the Ranger Blending Solution.  Unfortunately the pink shade became the dominant one which I really didn't want.....

.....and once I adhered it to the board using Golden Soft Matte Gel it went an even brighter pink,  argh!!!

So, I set about taking the accent off the pink by giving it a wash of white gesso, which also helped to enhance the crinkles in the tissue, followed by some stencilled Prima (Finnabair) opaque texture paste and then Watering Can Archival Ink through a Tim Holtz stencil.  I applied some paint and Treasure Gold guilding wax to some Prima embellishments and chose a selection of flowers, lace, chipboard and other bits from my stash to collage onto the board.  I also picked out the texture on the board with the Treasure Gold.

I'm really pleased to finally be digging out bits and pieces I've had in my stash for years and using it instead of hoarding it, lol!

A close up of the pretty 'water feature', little bird and the delicate Scrapiniec trailing ivy.

Another beautiful Prima metal embellishment I thought was too precious to use!

And finally I decided at the last minute to add a little Prima (Finnabair again) Graphite paste through a stencil.  Don't forget you can click the pics to see the texture and light guilding on the background in greater detail.

Well, I have to say that by the time I finished this piece the pink had almost grown on me and I was actually happy with the end result.  I really enjoyed the collaging which I find quite difficult as I don't normally do so 'busy'.   I had intended finishing off with sprays over the flowers but I decided I liked the different creamy whites as they are although I may go back in and add a little shadowing round the embellishments before I call it finished.

That's it for today.  I'll be back soon with a birthday card which I can share later in the week and I hope you all have an easier time getting out and about this week.
